Book Movement
I have finished Love Wins by Rob Bell. I am a little worried about him. He is truly implying that EVERYONE goes to heaven when they die. I see his point though:
Take a die hard atheist for example. God is hell for them, therefore, if they go to heaven they will be in hell … I don’t know how accurate that is. Then again, I don’t think anyone does accept for those who are eternally with God.
If you can’t back it up with scripture I don’t know how valid what you say is. This is my concern. Overall though, it was a pretty good book. I just don’t want to answer one of the biggest questions of all time (Where do we go when we die?) when I truly believe that God made it a mystery so that we can trust in Him. Sometimes it’s best to let God answer it once we are with Him. God thank you for putting my heart at ease with death.
I am now reading Stronger by Brian “Head” Welch. This book is truly divine inspiration by God working through a human being that is on fire for Him. This is my favorite story in the book thus far from Lesson 21:
“Another guy came to a club that my friend Ryan Ries rented out to use in the following up with people who found God at this Whosevers event that I performed at in Las Vegas. This guy was walking by the club and decided to go in. He was on his way to kill somebody - I kid you not - but God led him into the club, and instead he gave his life to Christ that night! Afterward, the guy overheard someone else say that Jesus wasn’t real, so he shared with the guy how he’d been going to kill someone earlier, but Jesus had stopped him. I wish I could have seen the look on the dude’s face when he heard that!”
If you truly believe there is no God I hope this story convinces you otherwise.
Why I love this story so much is because God shows that He truly does not take pleasure in any dying, even the wicked.
Ezekiel 18:32 ~ For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,” declared the LORD God. “Therefore, repent and live.”
We do not have an “Old Testament” God as proven in this passage seen as this passage is from the Old Testament. God wants us to have life, and if we let Him, He can stop us from making the wrong decisions. We just have to listen and NOT blame Him when something bad happens that we did to ourselves. Don’t give God credit for something He didn’t do. Remember, Satan is real too, but God is stronger.
